Day 11: What was your favorite childhood Christmas present?
My lovely American Girl doll, Samantha. I LOVED that doll. I still have her, she’s in perfect condition. As is her trunk and all of her clothes and books. I’m hoping to have a little girl to give her to some day. I even remember how she was wrapped. She was in white and red striped paper with a red bow propped up right in the front of the tree.
I’ll write again soon! Until then, keep reading!

I loved the American Girl series, though I never was gifted one of the amazing dolls. I always thought Samantha would be my favorite American Girl because I thought she was the prettiest (and in my 7 year old mind, that kind of superficial thinking made absolute sense), but really I cherished the stories about Felicity the most.

Hahaha! I loved Samantha’s stories and the time period she lived in. Her friendship with Nelly?! So sweet. Wow I can’t believe I remember that haha. But one of my best friends had Felicity! I had all of the books of all of the dolls. I would try to read all of them in a day quite often hahaha

I never had an AG doll. I don’t think I knew they existed. But my daughter bought herself Rebecca and then my mother-in-law bought her Grace. She thinks they’re the best things ever. But man, I can’t believe the cost of all their stuff. Crazy expensive! Good call on keeping yours for a potential daughter!

Oh gosh neither Grace nor Rebecca existed when I was little! There were only like 5 or 6 of them at the time haha. And yes they are super expensive. I was well trained by my mother to keep her nice haha
